Daniel Bregman joins Synonym as General Counsel and Head of Development
Daniel joins the NYC-based biomanufacturing startup from Impossible Foods.
New York, NY - 14th November 2023 - Synonym, the New York-based biomanufacturing firm developing and funding the essential infrastructure for the biorevolution, today announces the appointment of Daniel Bregman as its General Counsel (GC) and Head of Development.
Daniel joins Synonym from Impossible Foods, one of the key firms in the alternative protein industry. Daniel spearheaded several key initiatives across the organization at Impossible and has built a wealth of experience in scaling clean technology startups. Prior to Impossible, Daniel held senior roles at vertical farming startup Plenty, as well as Cypress Creek Renewables, where he worked on dozens of clean energy projects.
Daniel began his career as a corporate lawyer at major international firm Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton. Daniel studied Political Science at the University of Pennsylvania and holds a Doctorate in Law (JD) from Columbia University.
In addition to his responsibilities as Synonym’s General Counsel, Daniel will also take up the role of Head of Development where he will push forward Synonym’s various projects already in pre-development. Daniel’s will be focused on driving successful expansion of Synonym’s development engine and accelerating the development cycles of facilities.
